Reseña Histórica

En 1959, se crea la Escuela de Inteligencia del Ejército, con Decreto Supremo del 10 de Junio del mismo año, promulgado por el entonces Presidente de la República, Dr. Manuel PRADO UGARTECHE. La Orden General del Ejército N° 24 del 25 de Junio de 1959, publicó el Decreto Supremo en donde se instituye la creación de la Escuela de Inteligencia del Ejército, el 10 de Junio de 1959.

En lo que respecta a doctrina de inteligencia, el Ejército del Perú, al igual que la mayoría de los ejércitos del mundo adoptó experiencias y lecciones obtenidas tras la II Guerra Mundial, básicamente en tres campos:

«La Inteligencia de Combate, orientada al conocimiento completo del enemigo, el terreno y las condiciones meteorológicas.»

«La Inteligencia para la «Guerra Fría» donde prevaleció el espionaje, las medidas de Contrainteligencia y el apoyo a las acciones Contra subversivas.»

«El desarrollo de las Técnicas Operativas de Búsqueda y Protección de Informaciones»
